Oasis – Where lifelong friendships are made for building the Kingdom of God

By Allison Chichery

Passover is an exciting time at the Oasis Christian Conference Center in Southern France as teens come together from France and Israel at Camp Conexion, a place where they grow together as family.

It is more than a conference center and so much more than a week-long camp. It is a place of healing and refuge. It is where young people come together and develop relationships that impact them for a lifetime.

When youths come here they gain a deeper understanding of family. They find acceptance, they find encouragement, they find love. And, when challenges arise, they also learn there is a safe space to be vulnerable for weaknesses and opportunities for growth.

When we come together, we come united in the name of our Lord, Jesus. Though we may be from different cultures or different denominations, there comes a point where we recognize we are of one body, the body of Yeshua.

For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit.” 1 Corinthians 12:12-13

This body is designed by God.

But as it is, God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as He chose. If all were a single member, where would the body be? As it is, there are many parts, yet one body (v.18).”

No matter where someone is in their walk with the Lord, whether they have grown up in believing environments or are new believers, they are equally embraced with the love and acceptance of the Father. From this, true growth comes forth, in our identity in Christ and in our identity as sons and daughters of the living God.

So, why then do we come together? For what purpose and why is it important?

• To connect a generational vision – Those who helped shape the present, those who are stewarding the vision, and those who are hungry to see God move in our day.
• To leave no person behind – it is a place for anyone no matter their background
• To embrace our similarities and differences
• To come together and love one another unconditionally
• To live and learn the importance of forgiveness.
• To remember that we are all His children, and are part of His Kingdom!

“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head, Running down on the beard, The beard of Aaron, Running down on the edge of his garments.” Psalm 134:1-2

Fellowship and communion are stepping stones that bring us closer to each other and to the heart of God.

The Youth Passover Camp at the Oasis Center brings together youth from all over the world to provide a space for fellowship and communion with one another, as they come together to commune with our God.

This is family – pursuing His Kingdom together!

Let us be servants who pursue His heart, who pursue His Kingdom, on Earth as it is in Heaven!

Help us reach our goal!
